I got it last week from possibly my daughter or possibly the dairy farm (I felt bad after we had that field trip).
I have been taking some medicine to ease the symptoms and trying to drink plenty of hot tea.
I think it is working, as slowly I have started to feel better.
Now on to yesterday's eats (I know I am so predictable by always showing Tuesday's food).
Last week there were a few comments that my breakfast of celery and peanut butter were sad...so this week I cranked it up and had
A spot of oatmeal with cinnamon and brown sugar, a navel orange, and a cup of hot apple cider...YUM!
Mid morning it was snack time and I tried out a new bar by ProBar (a vegan treat)
The HALO bar in s'mores. Now I don't know if my cold is messing with my taste but this didn't really taste much like a s'mores. The consistency was chewy and it was good, but I was really hoping for more marshmallow.
Lunch was VERY tasty
I had a slice of spinach and artichoke quiche and a couple of swigs of Naked blue machine (a very nice berry burst does a happy dance in your mouth when you are drinking this).
The afternoon I didn't have any snacks, as I was pretty full from the quiche, but I did have countless cups of green tea:
For dinner I had vegetable lasagna...but ashamedly I forgot to take a picture.
I assure you though that it was delicious.
So what did you have that was yummy this week?
Would you like to take a peek at what other people are eating? Head over to Peas and Crayons and take a look.
The spinach and artichoke looks good =)

Everyone is getting sick in this season! Hope you feel better soon :) Mmmm, love the quiche! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had quiche in ages. Yours looks really good! I hope you feel better soon. I recommend tea and sleep and either cheesy comedy movies or fluffy chick-lit.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better! I have to say - your celery, peanut butter and pear were my FAVORITE! I told my honey bunny about it and we're thinking of having the same thing!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself and I hope your cold disappears soon!
Well after the food for the cold, you're bound to feel better. I love the look of your hot apple cider concoction. It's enough to want me have a cold to find an excuse ;-)
ReplyDeleteYour question: last night I made a chicken curry but added a tray of roasted pumpkin with garlic. Fabulous - now the kids are hooked on curries. That's another good number for a cold!
So sorry to hear that you've got a cold! Hope you can feel the warm wishes that I'm sending you for a speedy recovery :)
ReplyDeleteYour eats look amazing today! I love the look of the quiche in particular! It's looks scrummy :) Make sure you take care of yourself and don't overdo things this week xx
Aww, hope you feel better!
ReplyDeleteWhen Im sick, drinking a lot of tea and water helps me. :)
@Jill Colonna
ReplyDeleteNo Jill! Don't get a cold just for the cider...just enjoy it as you are healthy and probably with a macaron :)
aw, man! i hate having a cold. I'm actually just getting over one, as well. LOVE your blog. I try to be as frugal as I can these days. Seems like there is always something that wants money thrown at it.
