Tis The Season

Well Thanksgiving is rapidly closing in on us and that means that Christmas won't be far behind it.

For those of us with kids it means we traditionally gift teachers with something to show our heart felt sympathy appreciation.

I love the teachers that my children have and truly don't believe that there are any finer out there then what we have at their Montessori school.

That being said what do you give a teacher so that you don't bog them down with more crap thoughtful mugs and Christmas ornaments?

I love putting together food baskets.

For me it is a great gift because you can consume the food, either yourself or you can share, and then you don't have to worry about re-gifting finding an appropriate place for the mug or ornament.

This year I have put together some of my favorite things in hopes that they will be enjoyed.

Included are Snapea Crisps and R.W. Knudsen Spritzer along with these homemade treats:

S'mores

Candied pecans

Brownie pops (all of the teachers are female which is why I chose pink)
*more over Starbucks mine are awesome

Apple pie in a mini mason jar

Hopefully everyone will enjoy these treats.

I was careful to not put too much of anything in there because I don't want to encourage over-eating...we do that enough as it is with the holidays.

What sort of things do you give your childrens teachers?

Or if you don't have any children what sort of gifts did you give your own teachers as a child?

Be sure to check out my Crunchmaster Crackers Giveaway here, it ends Wednesday November 16th at 11:59 pm.

  1. Everything looks delicious and I LOVE the pies in the jar! What a great idea to do some tasty snacks and food - teachers are awfully busy and it's nice that they have munchies!

  5. Wow what an amazing gift for the teachers! So much thought and effort has gone into that. Beats the shop-bought gifts hands down! For the past couple of years, I've baked gingerbread cookies or Amaretti biscuits for the teachers. I much prefer to give a gift that can be eaten or easily used up. I was a teacher myself for 3 years and I know what it's like to get a ton of mugs or... even worse... house plants!
