What I Ate Wednesday..a week later

So I told you all yesterday that I was on a bit of a blogging hiatus, albeit just from my own feeble mindedness :)

Today I am back on the horse and ready to participate in What I Ate Wednesday hosted by Jenn at Peas and Crayons.

You know somedays you feel like WOOHOO (jazz hands and all :)!!

Other days you feel like if you don't lie down, even if it is in the middle of the living room floor, that you just can't make it:

Most days, at least for me, I feel like please leave me alone until I have had a little caffeine and a chance to wake up (my daughter was blessed with the same disposition):

To start my day off last week I had one of these, a grande caffe mocha soy no whip (so many instructions for a cup of coffee):

Now to have a little substance with it I tried their oatmeal and toppings which was very good.  I didn't use all of the toppings because frankly I think they overload you, but it was nice to have dried fruit and nuts...then I had a farm fresh pear to round out the meal:

Starbucks was even kind enough to give you instructions on the optimal enjoyment of their oatmeal:

For lunch and dinner I had the same thing (don't call me boring please, I can be sensitive), however I really liked the vegetable sushi and the portion size of 12 pieces was WAY too much for one meal.  Slap a little wasabi and soy sauce on top and I was good to go:

Now I've shown you mine it is time for you to show me yours :)  Head over to Peas and Crayons and link up, if you have a blog.  You know we all like a little peek into what each other eats on a given day.

I would also like to add that there was a momentous "girly" occassion with my daughter...she asked me to paint her nails!!!  I was so excited to give her her first mani-pedi.  I have been hoping since she was born that she would be a girly girl (not that being rough like a boy is bad), but already having two boys I really did crave the girl experience.  The pictures are a little blurry, as it is hard for her to sit still:

Happy Wednesday to you all!

  5. Really sorry I haven't left a comment on your blog for a while. I've been having technical problems. For the past week, every time I've tried to leave a comment on your blog and pressed 'post comment', my comment has simply disappeared! So frustrating! I tried on my desktop and my laptop. Anyway, I've just looked up the problem on Blogger and I've re-set my privacy settings... and yay it's working again!!!!
Happy belated WIAW... and happy belated birthday to you and your son! Hope you had a wonderful time!
Gorgeous WIAW post. I love veggie sushi but it's soooo expensive round here. I must have a go at making it myself.
Gorgeous pics of your kids :) So glad you captured the special mum n daughter moment. They're so precious.
Look forward to seeing you at WIAW next Wednesday xx
