Kashi Chocolate Squares giveaway

Today is giveaway #3!

First things first congratulations to Anna (Crunchy Creamy Sweet) for winning the Fiber One gift pack I post about on Monday.

Remember there is still time to win the Progresso Soup giveaway I posted yesterday (see here).

On to today's post Kashi Chocolate Squares.

As a member of Mom's Meet I was given the opportunity to sample these squares with my family.

What particularly intrigued me about the product when I was asked to sample it was that it contained the normal 7 whole grains that Kashi is famous for however the "hidden" ingredients were sweet potatoes, black beans, and agave for sweetener.

I was totally sold when black beans were thrown in the mix, I love them in brownies.

The texture of the squares is chewy and moist, but my kids were less than thrilled with flavor.

I think they were wanting something MORE chocolaty, like dessert, instead of a snack bar.

I think they have just the right amount of sweetness, and for other adults I think this is true.

However if you heat a bar up in the microwave and put a small scoop of your favorite vanilla ice cream on top you indeed have one superb dessert/treat.

Guess what?

I have a giveaway from Kashi to share with you all.

What will you win?

Kashi lunch bag and 2 coupons for free Kashi products.

The coupons are good for these bars or for any of Kashi's other fabulous snacks or cereals.

How do you win?

Fill out the rafflecopter below.

The winner will be announced Friday the 28th.

Kashi Peanutty Dark Chocolate

I am a member of Mom Meets.  This is a community sponsored by Kiwi Magazine.  You apply on-line and then you are given the opportunity to sample products and present your opinions either through blog posts or on-line surveys.

The tasting that I completed most recently was for Kashi TLC Peanutty Dark Chocolate Layered Granola Bars.

I am very grateful that I received this huge bounty of granola bars, as well as a box of TLC cereal bars and their Cinnamon Harvest Cereal.  It was my pleasure to distribute these for tasting.

These bars are a great mix of crunch and a layer of chocolate.  What I think everyone really liked was that the chocolate wasn't so sweet that it overpowered the granola bar.  Plus for those of us who have kids the chocolate doesn't melt and smear easily so it keeps your kids from getting too messy (don't worry kids always find a way to put a little smear of chocolate somewhere).

The bars contain the Kashi signature 7 grains and are free from highly refined sugars, artificial additives, and unnatural preservatives.  Why wouldn't you want to feed your kids these bars?  Although I seriously thought about hiding mine from my kids because they are such a wonderful treat.

If you would like to learn more about Kashi and their products you can connect with them on their site here or on Facebook here.

Kashi Pita Crisps Review

Today was a good day

The sun was shining

The birds were singing

And this was waiting for me in the mail when I got home from work

It is Kashi's new Pita Crisps Original 7 Grain with Sea Salt.

I LOVE pita chips, and often make my own because store bought is too expensive and I prefer to know that good ingredients are going into my snack foods.

However free, delivered to my door, and made by Kashi does beckon me to try them.

I had to fight my kids off just to get a couple of shots of the box...they were very anxious to tear into these.

They were worth the wait

These crisps are thick and sturdy (when you opened the bag they weren't broken up like chips get)

You can see the whole grains

and lets not forget delicious

These are the perfect compliment to any dip (my preferences would be for hummus, gaucamole, or baba ganoush).

Here are the facts ma'am, just the facts (nutrition facts that is)

If you would like to try these you can go to the Kashi website and they have a $1.00 coupon you can print off.

What would you do with your pita crisps?  If you've got some innovative ideas let me know and I can feature them here.
