In Arizona, we had to drive 2 hours (though since I moved one was built 10 miles away!), but there is only 1 in all of Florida and not anywhere near me. I learned a long time ago what goes into the process of growing and transporting mainstream produce and it’s not very appetizing. I know for a fact that fruits and vegetables from big name grocery stores simply do not match in taste or healthiness. Organic gardens are definitely something more Americans must initiate in their own backyards, especially if a chance in contributing to surrounding communities exists.

Something that sticks out to me with this community garden idea is the educational aspect. I don’t know what kind of position the gardener from your children’s school carries, but this looks like a chance where others from the school could get involved. An organic garden holds the potential to gain more exposure if it gets off to a solid start and you’re teaching your children some excellent lessons in charity work. Who knows how far it could encourage their young peers!

In my opinion, food serves as one of, if not the top, way to convey a kind gesture to those you support and care for. I’m sure this garden will easily look presentable to neighborhood traffic based on your planting experience. But what if you took it to another decorative level? For example, providing your local homeless shelter with gift baskets of your organic produce would certainly show just how much you really care to contribute. These baskets don’t need to be over the top in presentation, but a simple ornamental look brings added appreciation for your kind act. Who knows what it could lead to!

I hope you continue with this excellent blog! You certainly know how to please your family and surrounding community – something people don’t see much of in a fast-paced life of motherhood. Reading that you make time for such imperative and touching ideas makes this blog worth a look each and every time.pgamble72https://www.blogger.com/profile/18276583479259060037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7037400518948585034.post-81306328741581222852012-02-18T19:53:54.413-05:002012-02-18T19:53:54.413-05:00Beautiful garden charity project - very inspiring ...Beautiful garden charity project - very inspiring ;)
Have a great weekend. xoPure Ellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09955404788259883649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7037400518948585034.post-4184403644769304802012-02-18T08:39:31.942-05:002012-02-18T08:39:31.942-05:00Growing veggies to share with others is such a kin...Growing veggies to share with others is such a kind, generous act. I use to live in the same block with TJ back in Seattle, and I miss this store more than anything. Well, I miss my daughter more, of course. Imagine how excited I would be when they actually open that store and I'll be able to go there!!! So, yes, you can be excited about going to TJ, I am with you!Marinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05573855440431259324noreply@blogger.com
